SC use to be the karaoke manufacturer I would buy most. Lately they have been bundling previously released material and selling them in greatest hits compilations which I think is a good idea and I am sure it sells much better that way. New Karaoke material is what I strive for and SC market for that in my opinion hasnt been that good lately. I just wasnt impressed with their feb releases of Children's favorites because I have NEVER been to a karaoke bar where somone has belted out a childrens tune. Also back in Dec they issued some new XMAS music which to me is a terrible idea because White Christmas is white christmas no matter who sings it!!! ZOOM, SINGTOTHEWORLD and SBI have been releasing more material that hasnt been available on Karaoke and lately I have noticed most of my buys have been from them. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. Tim |

What is really driving me crazy is that no one is making rock karaoke discs with new, up-to-date tracks any more. The last good one was THM/Panorama's October 2006. Panorama and Pop Hits Monthly will throw an occasional rock song on their pop discs, but all the really good rock is gone and I'm not going to buy a disc for one song  . I just keep hoping that somewhere a long the line someone will decide to bring it back...I miss my rock!! :shock:

it's not the manu's fault... the bands themselves (or their management) are denying karaoke more and more! The manus simply couldn't do a whole disc every month! For what it's worth, I happen to agree with you! It SUCKS! |

I still believe the red tape to putting out a decent disc works better for companies based in Europe....Singtotheworld...Zoom..SBI are all putting out decent stuff. I feel maybe SC is tired of trying. I also feel like they arent telling us everything...because there are many artist SC have...that they can do more of and the effort to me doesnt even look like its there. Has anyone seen the Newest releases on SC? I've been done singing Panic! At The Disco's The Only Difference..... and Disturbed's Land of Confusion MONTHS ago when THM or PHM released them. The UK custom sites are what I stick too now unless a good ratio of songs I'd like to sing on THM or PHM releases. SC is only good when they release specialty discs (And they haven't released a Hard Rock Hits vol in years, or a Headbangers hits or even a Mama compiliation) |
