Okay, I've heard all sorts of belly-achin' about getting snow and having to drive on ice. Here are a couple of pics showing what a cumulative snowfall of 74 inches looks like.

Ooohhhh, I wanna move to Alaska:)

Actually, maybe not. I love the snow, but mostly just when I can DRIVE to it, then come home and have sun:)

Nice pics...

Yep thats the stuff alright lol. Folks here are still waiting for tradespeople to come replace spouting from the dump we had in June. We just havent got the skilled people in abundance locally to cope with the demand for building, plumbing etc. 0.4% unemployment in the area and another 100 newly created jobs just gone into the market place...more skilled people will have to be brought into the region which means stronger demands on housing etc.
Which means I will have to wait at least 4 months before I can get a builder to even look at bathroom renovations...the plumber hasnt got back to me with the wait for him

Dave, it looks luscious. We only complain because Texans aren't prepared for it so when it hits it is literally deadly. I got passed on an icy bridge by a lady in an SUV talking on her call phone.  :banghead:

 I just talked to my brother near Aukland (he's a plumber) and he says that the amount of work he has is why his own bathroom remodel still isn't finished after 3 years!

Here in greeley its snowed every weekend for about 6 weeks Total maybe 4 feet.. Reminds me of winters past The ranchers in se colorado have lost thousands of head of stock... Couldnt get hay to them and hay is sky high anyway''

The pine beetles have wreaked havoc down here hopefully the frigid temps killed a bunch of them Even in the valley we have had 20 below... The last week the highs didnt get above freezing.. I dont like but we need the water like crazy...

Sorry, but if pine beetles are anything like spruce beetles the only way to kill 'em is to chop down the affected trees and burn them before the larvae hatch.

These are susceptiblel to cold temps but it takes 20 below for a week or two.. This finally happened and it will help... Its dishearrning to see entire ridges totally brown.

LMAO Try shoveling it Isis!  But you're right, it is beautiful and so are the mountains less than a mile from my front door.  I'll have to see if I can get a good pic of them to post tomorrow when it's light out.
