Heaven was Gorgeous (Clap Clap Clap), NOW I have a dare, Utilizing some of your softer dynamics where you build to crescendo.. Use that style and try to cover "Bless the Beast and the CHildren" K Carpenter. You have the warmth and ethereal vibrato for her style. You might (however) need to raise the pitch of the backing |

I get impatient too... Which is why I live in here.. If I can't have things I want exactly when I want them, I don't bother throwing tantrums, I just leave reality. Milo has a warmth to her voice that I think would be nice on a slow Carpenters song. She also has that ethereal vibrato.. |

Milo and Billy are both extremely talented singers. I figure I have two options, the first option being to spend days trying to critique them which means calling my mom constantly asking her to help me with compositions, or the second option of course is to just do the manly thing and backstab them hoping they never find out. Hey, it's just the kind of person I am LMAO Hey Vicki, like always, please promise me you don't divulge this PM to anybody, OK ? |

Steven, I think Milo's ver. of the song 'Heaven' is far better than that of DJ Sammy. I like milo's use of vibrato in that song, and can't stand DJ Sammy's vibrato. |

Exactly how I felt Jian, The girl who sang the cocktail version of DJ sammy's version "Heaven" was some girl named "Do" (Dominique van Hulst). *I didn't feel* this other persons singing rendition fit the candlelight genre as well as Milo's singing fit the composition/ genre, thing is the techno version I recall DJ Sammy doing wasn't a love ballad version of this song, it was fast tempo and more of a DJ style. Incidently, I don't know who this Sammy guy is, or how much more than "DJ" techno-trance style Sammy does over-all, but isn't he techno FX ? and assuming this to be so, what does a beautiful "easy-listening" candlelight love-ballad version of Heaven and that gorgeous piano backing have to do with a techno DJ ?? and who is Yanou ? I don't know... Time for me to get to sleep (I think this is the 4th time I've stated this in the past hour) |

I wish more vocalists were like you Jeanne, That song is in the key of Ab, lowering it a semitone to G is a pleasure Actually it makes no difference in the case of this song, she modulates all over the place in this song...very pretty though...Really jumps around in terms of keys here, Ab turns out to be just as easy, Piano just plays duple meter broken chords behind the vocals... OK, heading over now.. |

Jeanne, Like always it was beautiful, BUT I don't think this song can be done at a tempo that slow.. I think that's what you might've found tough. It sounded gorgeous, you did it well, but in having to hang onto words, and phrases as long as you did, it made it tougher for you. Can you sing this a full step up ? I'm afraid even to transpose this up to G (a semi-tone) would still make it too slow a tempo for you |

but i didn't find it tough at all! butttttt...i did find my mind wandering a bit when i was singing....i just thot i was distracted, maybe it was all the dead air space and i got bored.... i just tried it in the original key....no go...i mentioned in the other thread about billy lowering it without changing the tempo...you think that would work? |
