Back in the olden days a federal law must be amended  or or modified to compensate for new technologies ..The The cds manus have spent more money than anybody else on lobbying congress on new laws .. The copyright laws does not apply to format shifting and nothing has been legislated to amend this ,,,

Show me a an act of congress or a passage of a bill there it is illegal to backup or format  shift to a different format...

I am so tired of the  liberals on this forum wanting the feds to fix the problem ,, Fix your own problem
