Hello there,
My name is Raina and I've been singing probably since birth-- my parents were huge karaoke fans (like all Asian are) and I've inherited to karaoke fever!

I'm looking for a karaoke community and what's going in the world of karaoke. I'm writing an article and a book on karaoke, and am looking to interview experience KJs, karaokers, and fans about their experiences. Am also looking to find the top karaoke bars across the country as well as any awesome anecdote you have!

Hey Raina, check into Meetups, there's one for NY and NJ as well as everywhere else. Its a site community for karaoke doers, to let you know what bars and dates everyone meets at in your area for karaoke.    www.karaoke.meetup.com/--there's even an all asian one. www.asianpros.meetup.com/

OMG, Raina.  It's Chris Bucoy Brown from San Francisco!  Glad to hear that you are still keeping the karaoke mics blazing in NYC.  For some reason, I KNEW it was you when you said you were a "karaoke writer."  Who else could it be?
