I am trying to figure out a way to transfer files off of CVAS super CD+G's to the hard drive on my computer. I feel I am over looking a simple way to do so with out purchasing more software. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. |

I am far from an expert on this, but I have asked a lot of questions in this regard. My understanding is that you need to purchase software from CAVS to change formats, because the CAVS files are in a proprietary format. I believe the software runs about $20. Then, while there is some copying that can be done, I don't think you can just copy the whole data base in one step. Consider the CAVS user forum might be a better place to discuss this matter. It is very good and CAVS offers tech support on line. |

I don't know about doing it without purchasing any software, but Frank sells software to do it fairly inexpensively at http://www.roxbox.net/ My opinion is that if you are going into an undertaking like this, use a tool that was created for that purpose. The cost will outweigh the price you pay. |

from what I can understand, and Robdog would probably be the one to confirm it...cavs do not offer software that will alter the format once something has been changed to their format. They do offer software that will convert to their format. Roxbox however do |

Roxbox however do There is a software to rip Super cdg's to your hard drive It's called CDG fix and this one does that job and allows you to make new Super cdg's from MP3+G files. Check it out here: http://www.cdgfix.com/ |

I feel it may be possible with the scart connector on the machine. I looked at the connection pin ID's online. I am no expert but it appears to carry a lot on information. Maybe some bright person will figure out a patch cord to convert our players or send information from a computer to the machine. I will attach a link to the PIN id. utopia.knoware.nl/users/eprebel/SoundAndVision/Engineering/SCART.htm I posted this on CAVS site also. It's only a thought :thinkin: |

My mistake I copyed and pasted the link, but must have missed some of it. I used Yahoo and searched for scart connector. Try this one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SCART |
