hi, what do u people think of the guy critiqueing...Listener ....x

i myself am glad hes there, if he stays honest....if not he can hit the road....
i don't know his background but  he seems to know a tad about what he's talking about...loll....not putting him down its just hard to know if its all trash talk r he really knows what he's saying....

at the very least i believe we all know what we like and dislike in a song, wheather its right r not is up to that person and what he/she hears....and feels...

i for 1 feel we do need him/her and many more....

what do u think?    and i don't want to get into critique r not to critique....been there done that...Billy

it is refreshing to see an honest critique and the fact that he/she is keeping themselves to themselves means hopefully they will stay honest. Yes I too think they look like they know what they are talking about and seem to be able to formulate a critique in a non insulting way. The response I have seen from people has been really really positive.
Tom Eaton is another who will give a critique and I have found him honest as well
Yes we do need more honesty

Can't say as he hasn't critiqued me as yet.  I personally appreciate honest criticism as it can only help me be better.

Is it evening there? here it is 20 to 10 monday morning and I just popped home to get my camera...typical battery is dead and I cant find the bag with the other one in, so sadly I have time on my hands to have a cup of coffee and a quick check of the forums while I get a bit of a charge in the battery.
Thank you very much for your kind words you are none too shabby yourself

Im all for critiques when people ask for them but just to do it b/c you want to Im not too sure...Thats what the just for fun or critique choice means. While Listener X has been quite polite in his comments, I would love to hear a sub from him, it just would make me feel better for some reason. (I thought a long time before I typed that last sentence) I dont want to ruffle any feathers, JMO

honey to do that would ruin it.
As far as I have seen, and I did go back through his comments, he has only critiqued on those with a C on their sub.
So long as he stays neutral (assuming its a he by what was said on one of my subs) then he is a worthy addition to this site. Once he subs and others fluff him how long before he falls into the trap of feeling obliged to offer higher praise than is required
Let him/her remain anon and neutral and lets look forward to more positive critiques

without too much speculation I suspect that it may be a long time member of ks/ss who has adopted an identity that will allow some anonimity to allow him/her to do it :) If this is the case I think they are very wise

IMO, it doesn't matter if he can sing or not if he knows what he's talking about....steven gives great critiques and have you heard him sing?

i agree with you completely about not giving critiques where none is asked...

I find him fair enough, although I've noted at least one person that got rather upset at his constructive criticism (even though this individual asked for a critique via his submission).  My theory is Listener X is the same person we've known under different handles at different times (some of you singers know who I'm referring to) but much more helpful in his remarks.  I've read most of his comments and I'd fairly have to agree with Listener X.  The thing is, if you don't welcome criticism, don't ask for it!

Listener x sound resonable to me. I might sub a song for him/her to critique.

talk about strange - i just switched over here to mention his critiques.  I for one really appreciate his opinions. after i read what he has to say i listen to my sub and i can actually understand what he is trying to tell me.  I wish everyone would do the same.  i'm here for help -  family and friends will always tell me how great i am.

Actually, I'm certain Listener X has a song up,  posted months ago, that was critiqued (under a different handle).  It was a fair performance.
