Has anyone tried this player yet? If so, what do you like and dislike about it? |

I have not tried this player but can see a couple of problems: 1. No MPX function to fade out demo tracks on Multiplex and Video discs. 2. Key changer is actuated by a dial instead of a push button. It appears this unit has infinite control capabilities on key changes but may be difficult to figure out what setting to use if a customer brings their disc in and wants it down 2. Not sure how you would figure that out...but again I have no hands on experience with it. Otherwise it appears to be a decent value |

I found this on Numark's site...The KMX02 has a key change knob to adjust the musical key in half steps without changing the speed. |

No one else in this forum has used this machine? There are a hundred replies to "Do you sing in hopes of picking someone up" but I can't get an answer to a real question. |

If this was a popular choice for a karaoke player then you would have plenty of responses. Fact is Numark is primarily a DJ related company and this is their answer for DJ's that want to do crossover to Karaoke. After all you are asking for hands on experience...which means that someone here has to own the unit. Otherwise we just have to rely on the specs that are offered on their site to give our opinions. I don't believe anyone here is ignoring your request for help...it's just they do not have experience with it or just care not to comment. I bet if you go to a forum for DJ's and as the same question and you will get plenty of responses as they are in tune with Numark. |

Just out of curiousity, what player(s) do you own? Are you satisfied with them? |

I have 3 systems all PC based When I was using Players (3yrs ago) I used the JVC Triple Tray units which are now no longer available. I still have 2 in storage. Seems like most folks that are purchasing new players are going with either the RSQ units or Acesonic units. Many of these units are feature rich but most of those features are not really needed to play karaoke. A simple unit that handles 2 or more discs, has a key changer, Mpx function, can handle CDG & VCD would probably be the only thing you would need. Most of the other features really do not come into play. Of the players currently available on the market these would be my choices: www.karaoke.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/Kara ... ?key=43016 http://www.acekaraoke.com/acesonic-dgx- ... layer.html http://www.acekaraoke.com/hpnrplv630.html |

I guess I like the way the Numark looks because it is more like a DJ setup. I do karaoke on Fridays and DJ on Saturday. Yeah, I am leaning toward the laptop route anymore. The newer units take so long to recognize a disc because they are looking for DVD as well. Thanks |
