... I heard one today that sounded like it was from the original master tape sans lead vocal: "My Girl".  I don't know who produced it, but I'm convinced it's from the master Motown tape.  The only difference from the original song other that the lead vocal missing was that it was in stereo and the original Motown mix was mono (at least everyone I've ever heard.)  I'm not talking simulated stereo, the instruments are i their own aural location in the stereo spectrum.

So, if record companies are starting to release remixes of the original master sans lead vocal, I can forget about selling mine.

I also heard "Bohemian Rhapsody" which I'm sure is from the original recording, but I believe it was processed by vocal elimination software.  That's because the lead vocal parts are only gone when not singing with the harmony vocals.  Plus, I'm not sure, but I think I could barely hear the lead vocal here and there.  Even so, vocal elimination software has come a long way since I last heard it.

But that can't be with My Girl, because of the stereo placement of the instruments, unless the song was released in stereo as well as mono.

My Girl is the one I made from the original backtracks from the sing king Motown collection. I used the audio track from this and mixed it with the original video and it turned out well. Check it if you like:

these are just for fun and not for sale :

Those are great versions :worship:

Just curious what programs or program did you use to create them?

Also where do you get the video clips?

I used Virtualdub to take the audio out of the video then Ulead to to align the video with the new audio track then save them and re split them with vrtualdub save both files then load them into Video karaoke Studio and make you karaoke VCD. Simple LOL.

Who wouldn't like what you did.  It was great.

Getting back to an earlier question of mine which I posed somewhat differently(which I think you responded to).  Is there a way to copy just the music from a CDG track, and then add you own synchronized graphics for the works or other elements?

Just load the file to any recording program. Then save it. You may edit, eq. comp. or do anything to the audio file before you save it as wav.

Split the .bin file with MP3+g Toolz so you have a Mp3 and CDG file . Scrap the CDG file. Then load you MP3 file into Karaoke Builder Studio and make your new Graphic file.

Rob,

It was you who previously responded.  I had questioned if Karaoke Builder could accomplish the editing of words that were not in synch.  I posed the question incorrectly because this recent answer indicates I could accomplish my goal with Karaoke Builder.

Unfortunately, I had contacted the company (in England) with a question and never heard back from them.  As I recall, their software runs about US$150?
Does anyone know of another (cheaper) program that will accomplish the same?

No program will reopen a CDG file that was made by someone else the only way to resync the lyrics is to do it yourself from scratch once you redo it you can reopen the file you've made and edit it but only if you've created and saved it from scratch.

Right, I understand now!  And that can be done with Karaoke Builder.  Is there some other software that will also do that?

Karaoke Home Producer can do it also but with a lot less options.

Rob, how much would that software cost and what options would be given up in selecting karaoke home producer vs karaoke builder?
