Post subject:  Connecting 6 Speakers ?

I have a gig where I could use 4 speakers on stage and two more in another room in the bar. I have a QSC 3600 and PV155 speakers @ 8 ohm each. if 8 and 8 get you 4 ohms will adding one more 8 ohm speaker give me 2 ohms that the amp is rated for?

2 8 ohm speakers per channel will yield a 4 ohm load, 4 8 ohm speakers per channel will yield a 2 ohm load per channel - now this is provided they are all running parallel & not in series.  The amp is rated for it, however it's not a recommended method to run at it's maximum load - it will tend to heat the amp up faster when driven hard - however with that many speakers you may not need to drive as high of a volume either.
NOW, the downside is the 2 speakers you want to place in the other room will have no volum controlability over turning down the entire system which will affect your main room as well.  You would be overall better just picking up a smaller amp & running that 2nd room with that amp.  Most amps have parallel (2) inputs per channel that you can daisy chain a signal to another amp.  This will give your main room a volume control & the 2nd room it's own volume control with the separate amp.
