Hi Michael!

Have spent the last few hours listening to several of the songs in the showcase....man! Such talent out there!

Have also done a search on how to compress an mp3 to below the 3K limit ....(impatiently waiting for my membership to kick in, but want to submit a song)...

Have you suggestions of how to reduce a 3,733K song below the 3K limit? Using audacity...

Many thanks for any help!

Elaine

Can't say I can help you on that question as I don't use Audacity, but your best bet is to post this question in the "Technical Forum"--there are plenty of technical genuises in there that can help you out!  Thanks for your nice comments today by the way!  Take care, Michael

Welcome to KS

If you post your question in the discussion room, tech room or singers forum you will probably have someone who can answer your question.

Welcome Elaine.  Babs is right there are a couple 'experts' on Audacity so go to the tech forum and post the question.  Good to see another newbie joining the fun.  Hope you're enjoying your 203 as much as I do mine!

And yes, this karaoke thing is as addictive as any drug I know ... I'm finding that it can be almost as expensive too. LMAO

Hi There!

Boy! You're right about karaoke getting expensive! I have to remind myself that I don't have to buy every disk I come across!

This is a great site! It's sooooo big I wonder if I'll ever figure it all out!

Thanks for the welcome!

Ya know, I did post my question on the techi site in morbid detail, but now I can't find it. Weird.....Don't know if I did it wrong or I'm totally lost ! :)

LMAO I've done that before too. Click on User Control panel over there on the left in the black box. It will show you all your posts.

 Welcome to the site Elaine :)

I have used Audacity in the past but I don't currently have it installed...you should just be able to save your files at a lower bitrate to shrink the file size...hope that helps!  Have fun!   :dancin:
