I originally posted this in a bulletin on MySpace but it applies here as well.
It seems a lot of people are having really tough times right now. My heart goes out to each and every one of you and you will be in my prayers.
I'm having my own share of tough times. Many here know that I have had some issues lately myself. They are hard to explain but are very real for me. 2006 doesn't seem to be a good year for many of us.
Here's hoping that 2007 is better for all of us. I also hope that very soon we will be comparing our good fortunes instead of needing to reach out to our cyber friends for help.
For those of you who had a good year in 2006, good for you and I hope it lasts a long time.
Chuck

Hi Sher!!
Hey, I hit that button last night but got no chocolate and/or skittles??!! Who pulled the plug on the candy making machine??
Anyhow... thanks for your well wishes, Chuck. I wish you the same. We all BS a lot here, but it's good to know after all the joking dies down, we do all care about each other.

Well I think this time of year is hard for anyone who's having personal issues of any kind. I split with my boyfriend THREE times this year before I finally decided it had to be over for good... it left me single for Xmas, with my kids at their dad's. It was a very weird holiday for me because I'm still living in the same house as the guy. I'm dealing okay.. and I have had friends tell me I need to get out of here, but I am just thankful to have a roof over my head. I have no idea of what you're going through Chuck, but you know how to get in touch if you ever need someone to rant to. I think I've said that before... if not I'm saying it now.

Lisa  It's a tough situation, especially when kids are involved. I hope you know my door is open, too.

I appreciate that Luly.. I had a bad patch for a couple weeks, especially when schedule changes killed the one night out that I had. (I barely know anyone here... and for those females who've tried going out alone.. you probs know why I don't bother). I'm doing much better right now, just trying to reclaim my life best as I can. The forums have helped me from going bonkers more than one time.. thanks to all of you. :grouphug:

Seems each year has it's trials and tribulations, but hopefully we learn. This year was not the best for me, yet nobody has died (yet) so that's a good thing. I hope you are ok Chuck and whatever the situation is you're going thru will hopefully work it self out.
These forums have helped me as well, even though I'm not here as much as I used to be. I've been away from my home for about 5 weeks, staying at my parents house. My dad broke his hip and is having a second surgery tomorrow. I've regressed into a kid again.. (believe me it happens!) My only solitude is the computer. I can't wait to go home to my life again... but I am also wanting to take care of things here. It will all work itself out.. that's life right?
I wish the best for all my friends here! Hopefully we will all be here next year to celebrate the fantastic year we had!

Thanks Jesse, I'll talk to anyone who'll listen and I might take you up on that offer some time.
I feel that my year has not been as bad as some other folks. I only mentioned my stuff to give a hint as to why I've not been as attentive lately.

Aw, Chuck, sorry to hear you're having troubles.
Gosh, sounds like alot of us are. Maybe we need a "Cry Here In Your Beer" thread where we can all get our stuff off our backs...??
No. Hell no. I'd ruin more than ONE reputation in a thread like that. Most likely it's best that we keep it all contained to PM and email.
Chuck, I know I'm the worlds greatest smart arse, but if ya ever need to chat..... I make a very good friend and listener too:) And I rank you very highly on my buddy list.

To be honest...I was worried about you...because I had noticed that...and figured something might be wrong.
As for me...It's been a tough year, but others have had it worse than I, so I can't complain too much.

Chuck, your in my prayers. I guess alot of us have needed the support we've recieved here these last couple of months. But I just know once we get over this hump of these holidays, we'll all be rockin' again, and tagging each other. (By the way Chuck, tag: your it!)
I'm just grateful for this (somewhat sane, at least friendly) place to come to, to relax and feel welcome..
Hang in there Chuck, we're here for ya!

@cry in your beer thread...
For all the issues that happened with me this year, I can say with a clear and unburdoned heart that there are others in the world that are having a much worse go of it... so I'm still greatful for all that's gone right for me!
Every day is a new day, and one better than the one before the others... even if it brings problems... its still a day forward, not backward, and that means progress, even if you can't see it!

Life is a series of cycles. The good thing about the bad cycles is that they will end, the bad thing bout the good cycles is that they will also end. Nothing is forever.
2006 the year I sat for 5 days by my fathers bed and watched the medical gods starve and dehydrate him to death. It wasnt a peaceful process.
That aside I too believe there are many going through far worse than I have this year.
Blessed Be

Thank you Chuck--well, the all can't be good years and remember, this too shall pass; it always does and better times are ahead! Take care, Michael
