Had to share this with you. This was in our last night's city paper:
THEFT CHARGED
A theft charge has been levied against a Union City woman in connection with a recent theft of an inflatable polar bear from another woman’s home.
Tammy T. (Bishop) Chambers, 36, of 709 North Morgan St. was arrested Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. on a charge of theft, according to a Union City Police Department report.
The charge stems from an incident reported Sunday morning, when Gloria Easley of 622 Exchange St. reported to Union City Police that a nine foot inflatable polar bear had been taken from her porch sometime between 10 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday. The bear apparently was deflated at the time.
Ms. Chambers was arrested Wednesday in the 300 block of Greenwood Street in Union City. She told police she didn’t steal the bear and that it was brought to a third woman’s residence while she was there, but she said since she was in the kitchen smoking “crack, “ she didn’t see who brought in the bear, according to the report.
"Hereeeeeeee's your sign."
