Post subject:  Entry into the 'OFF TOPIC' Forum

In an effort to prevent future "Spammers" from gaining access to this forum I am thinking of using a code that will allow only registered members access after a certain number of posts.

This poll is for you, the members, to help me decide at what level we will permit registered members to enter this section.

Note, this is already set up on the "KJs Only" Forum - to enter not only must you be a registered member and a member of the user group "KJ" but you must have a minimum of "20"posts!

Give me your feedback. There are only three (3) days to submit your opinion.

Remember also by setting the option high you may keep out new members with fewer posts.

Since it seems to be primarily for fun banter ...... let them get used to posting in the general forum ..... say (3-5 posts).... and then post in here.  At least that way, you'll know they aren't spammers, but they'll be able to participate quickly.

Just my  :2cents:  :2cents:

I like the idea of setting the bar high. It doesn't take long to accumalate posts. I like the number 10. It gives the newbies more incentive to get their first 10 posts to be allowed to come into our private sancuary.  LMAO Muhahaha

How many posts do you need to get an avatar? Maybe the same amount needed for both.

I think three to five is reasonable.  Few spammers last more than two-three posts. What is their objective anyway even when bots ?  To post once or twice, and move on ?  Their web-addresses change at such a rapid rate, is it likely they'd survive 5 posts in THIS forum ? If they've posted 2 spam posts in here,  likely they will have posted in one of the general forums as well and have gotten booted long before post #5 ever has a chance of ocurring.
