One of the dilemmas we encounter on SS is there is seemingly not enough fresh Christmas music to perform. Perhaps a list, kept on this thread with maybe not so well known titles on it would be beneficial and add more variety next year. Always nice to learn new songs, particularly seasonal as there is so much out there but don't always stick in the memory as they are heard only once a year! Thank you.

I was thinking of adding 2000 Miles by the Pretenders but the one backing that's available has a warped sound to it.. It's a Christmas tune not sung too often.. Maybe I'll have a go of it next week...

I'd love to record "I know That My Redeemer Liveth" Handel's "The Messiah" but I only have a piano backing. If I could find an orchestral backing (cdg or not) I'd be jumping up and down. If I can't find one, I may still record with the one I have for Christmas this anyway. If anyone can help me out, please let me know.
Hi Debbie! Well for one brief moment I thought EUREKA I found what she's after (even had typed in your yahoo adress to send it) then realized it was the piano backing too. I found two versions, but both piano, alas (not that I don't like the piano as you know!). Sorry! Maybe someone else here will have better luck! Take care, Michael
