Post subject:  What is this weather report thing at the bottom of my screen?
I'm behind in the latest technological events here, but I have a window showing a location and the temperature now.  However, according to what shows up here, it indicates I live in Cypress, California, which as appealing as that sounds right now in Minnesota is in error.  No complaints--at least I know the temperature near the vicinity of where my sister lives.

Michael I don't believe that is KS doing that. You have been invaded by a lovely adbot of some sort. I would check your new program list and see if it was downloaded onto your computer without you knowing. Run adaware or spybot.

I know that AIM has weatherbug when you download it... so it's probably something similar. I hate adware  :no:

It is indeed tied into KS.  Earlier I got a KS alert screen saying that I hadn't chosen a city for the weather report yet.  So I went into my KS profile settings and picked the closest big city to Canby.  The odd thing is when you log out, the default weather shown is for Cypress, CA.  Why Cypress?  LOL

Nostrodamus predicted this would happen over 3,000 years ago Odie!  Maybe this is a sign that we should all coalesce upon the city of Cyprus and await further instruction?

That's odd I have not seen this weather add-on.

ohhhhhhhh!!! mine works!!

Here's what I did....
atop the weather box thingie at the bottom of the home screen, click on "Your Local forcast"

then it takes you to your profile settings...

scroll down to the weather city code box, and click on "city list" or something to that effect.....

find your city and click on it.... the code is the same code for your airport.... y'know like Los Angeles's airport is LAX...... (I think)

PRESTO!! You have your current weather conditions along with a 5-day forcast at the bottom of your screen!!

COOL!!

I'm in a canadian city.... I didn't think it would work, but it did :)

Mine is pretty funny right now.. I have the forcast for Ft. Worth TX and the five day out look is like this

Monday Rain
Tuesday Showers
Wednesday Thunder

Gosh i was expecting Thursday to say lingering puddles that keep filling up...LOL

just a bit warmer.  It is 22c today and it won't be much below 20c this week...i am so proud!!! I have celcius too on my weather forcast!!!!

A little bit cooler weather would be nice though, It doesn't feel like Christmas when it is so darn warm...

Okay I went to the karaoke scene home page. I can't find anything that says local forcast. You guys aren't making this up are you?  LMAO

I went to the KS home page. It is the forum home page. It was staring me in the face all I had to do was scroll down.

BTW- I can't believe all the towns that begin with the letter a & b. How many towns do we need in the US that have the word Beaver in them.  LMAO
