I am looking for the rare, discontinued SCG 8223 disc containing "Take Me Home Tonight" by Eddie Money (later reissued with "Separate Ways" by Journey in its place.) Please contact me if you have this item. Will pay for original or cd-r. Many thanks! eddiemoneyrocks@yahoo.com

It's on Lost Classics 5 if that helps.

Just got off the phone with Priddis.  They have no record of the song ever being released on Lost Classics 5.  Thanks, though.  The only place it has ever appeared was on the Sound Choice disc SCG 8223, before that disc was recalled.  eddiemoneyrocks at yahoo dot com

Sound Choice is the only company that released it.

It was suppose to be on Lost Classics, but they pulled it at the last minute.

However I just bought the SC version and it is suppose to have it on it.

Bigdog, if you play the preview of "Take Me Home Tonight" on SGC8223 at acekaraoke, you will see "Separate Ways" (Journey).  This cd+g appears to be a reissue.  I hope you haven't wasted your money, but let me know when you receive it.  Thanks.

Well, I talked to someone on the phone and the said it was the EM song.   SO I guess I'll find out on the 20th delivery date.

I have a copy of LC 05 ...The track name "says" its Take Me Home Tonight & the actual song when I play it is I've Been In Love Before" by Cutting Crew...it is a personal use cdg not a business cdg so Ive really never noticed it before now. Weird. But prolly a good thing because that cdg is SOOOOOO hard to find. I wanted it for Imaginary Lover by Atlanta Rhythm Section & I looked for months & months till someone that had it offered to give me a copy. Im STILL looking for an original for the business library. Its got alot of great songs by The Little River Band on it.

The only Eddie Money tune I know of on Lost Classics is "Think I'm In Love" on LC01....

I just got the SC8223 disc.   After calling and comfirming that the Eddie Money song was indeed on the disc, it came today and the song is not on there. :(

Lost Classics probably were told before they released that disc to remove Eddie Money.    Because when I receieved a flyer about the upcoming release of the Lost Classic series it was listed as on that disc.  Whenever I got the discs, It was not there.

SC8479 has Imaginary Lover on it.

The song was supposedly pulled due to the Ronettes clip of Be My Little Baby.

Moneyfan... did you ever find the disc?  I'm a little late in reading this and see that a few people have the particular track.  Are you still interested in the whole disc?

I think he meant 'who isn't interested in that whole disc'.

It's a great disc, mine gets used often - oddly enough, never the Money song.

I knew what he meant, I was just being facetious ;)

I can honestly say I've never heard that song "performed" at a karaoke venue either.  But I do have the whole disc, both original and a backup.  I don't want to part with the original.... but....
