Now I have been looking in my book of shadows and have indeed come across a particularly nasty brew that does indeed call for sitting upon the cauldron and err not to put too finer point on it...farting.
If you consider an aquaintance is suspected of telling porkies you simply slip them a small draught of this brew and the next time they lie they blow up full of hot air...if they continue to do so they burst.
This of course can be very messy if they are sitting at a dinner table in a fancy restaurant.

Perhaps if the witch were submersed into the cauldron it would have more appeal. They need to be in a little hot water from time to time to keep them all peppy and sweet.
