Hi,

I have a cavs jb-99, a pioneer 72 laser disc changer, kumyoung karaoke jukebox, and a jvc 3 disc changer.  It is hooked up to a Bmb DX-1 amp.  I am trying to decide on new karaoke speakers to buy.  I use all this for home use and am on a budget of $300-500.  Any suggestions on what type of speakers I should buy.  I was reading the post on speakers but they all lean towards professional use.  Although I don't mind looking at those speakers, I was mostly going to use this for home.  Thanks for your suggestions

You can pick up a pair of refurbished BMB speakers at Ace Karaoke for about $299

I assume that your connections on the amp are Banana Clip Sytle not 1/4"

What type of wattage output does your amp have?

I had a problem finding specs on your Amp so if you could supply as much info on it as you can it would be helpful in selecting the proper speakers for you.

I am not sure what the wattage is being that I am not home right now.  I am pretty sure it's about 120 per channel.  As far as the hook up goes, it has like tabs that I stick the wire in and it locks it into place.  no banana clips.  Could be the 1/4 ones.  Also, which speakers would be the best sounding.  I was looking at the bmb 612.  Ace karaoke says that with these speakers you don't need a separate sub.  My friend has a pair of vocal pros.  Not sure of the model but they sounded pretty good when I heard them.  Just  not sure which of these brands is the best or if you have another suggestion.

I would recommend that you call Ace Karaoke and ask for their Tech Guy and ask him if they have some speakers that will perform well with your amp.

The BMB's they have listed in the Refurbished Area are killer speakers. I have heard them at a gig here in Portland. Not shure what they were using for an amp but they kicked butt. If they will work with your amp $299 is a great buy on these.

Make sure you talk with their tech guy as I have come to not trust the accuracy of their regular sales staff. You can ask 3 different guys and get 3 different answers. The tech guy will usually always give you the correct info.

Good Luck
