I have to shout it from the rooftops.....

I finally (FINALLY) got a job, just today.

And it's one that I wanted. (yes, I was applying for some I didn't really care for, just..... to have a job) I'm just fortunate that, even though I set new rules for how "picky" I'd allow myself to be,  :roll: , that I still got one I really wanted.

But I'm way excited. I actually got a better offer than what I was hoping, they are gonna train me for a position that I wasn't even applying for, which is a better one. Family owned company.... and I'm gonna be assistant to the hubby. Anyways, like I said, a better position.

Good pay, only about 15 minutes to work each way, and I get to start tomorrow.  :dancin: (part time until my training is done... then full time)

I'm on cloud 9. No more "couch potatoe" disease for me:) I've been dying to get back to work.

So, you're all invited to my karaoke hang out to celebrate with me saturday night:)

Thanks for the congrats Babs..... I SO needed to be back to work, you have no idear. No more bills coming in the mail marked "URGENT" now, haha.

Yeah, I just went and sang with them again last night. The lady bass player in the band (she's one of the band leaders) called and asked me to make it if I could. She has a new boyfriend...... she met online of all things (i gotta give that woman a talking to, LoL).... and she wanted him & I to meet. So, we went, I sang with the band...... and it turns out he's from my home town in Texas. (New Braunfels/Canyon Lake) What a small world.

But yes, I do go occasionally sing with them. I have a New years Eve gig coming up with them in Portland, that's supposed to be a big to-do, so that will be fun. If nothing else, I'm making some awesome connections to people in the music biz. And gaining some experience... and having tons of fun to boot. If I could afford not to work, I'd just do the band thing full time and forget about a day job. (but we all know that don't work, haha)

Ah, yeah, I'll miss getting to hang out. But my gosh, this place has helped to turn me into a bum. Not as bad as it used to be (i used the patch, haha)... but no, for other reasons.... I wont be able to be here much at all once the job turns full time.

But, gotta have a job.... and I'm getting one I wanted.

Jobs gonna be a piece of cake, laid back atmosphere & all that... I CAN WEAR JEANS, haha... It's an out of town place, everythings done per internet & fax, so no "office dress" required.  :whistle:  (ya see now why I wanted this one?)  :D
I just gotta learn their computer programs & product, which will not be a big deal. I hate being "the new guy"- everyone else has been there atleast 10 years, but still, I think I'll like it, when I get into my "comfort zone" there.

I'm always nervous at new jobs, I don't like to be the *odd man out*, if you know what I mean...

I do usually get along pretty well with most everyone (in real life settings). And I know I don't seem like it here (that's a funny one).... but in person, especially around new people, I'm VERY shy.

But, thank you.... that was a nice thing to say:)

You will fit in right away...the cool thing about a small company is that they pay attention to personalities; they would not have hired you if you would not fit in.
