Yep, we are getting it too! We have a show tonight (in N OKC & we live in Moore) that starts at 8:00... We always get hit here in Moore well before OKC - anyway... Richard wanted me to stay home since I've been a little under the weather and he didn't want the puppies in the garage all night, even with the heater on the ceiling, in case we were unable to make it home. I convinced him to call the bar and the bar manager and bartender had already been talking about closing early in the event of dangerous conditions. While I enjoy the show it is nice to be "snowed" in. Richard went to 7-11 and got us some bread and eggs and I've made hot chocolate already!!
We started getting Thunderstorms, complete with lightening, about 7:15 - the temp was already 28 degrees or less... Our friend was driving home to Moore from Norman and said it was snowing quite heavily. When Richard was at 7-11 he saw a car with a coating of ice that had just come from Norman....
My sis is in Watauga, TX (Dallas/Ft. Worth area) and told me that they had the air conditioning on in the vehicle on the way to her birthday dinner and the heater on in the vehicle on the way home from dinner!
Susie <-------snuggled with the Redskins throw I made for Richard and Swiss Miss Instant Cocoa from my Hot Shot!!

We ordered take out Italian for dinner, and the guy who brought it was wearing sandals. Appropriate for a couple of hours ago, but he is gonna have frostbite before the night is out.
Is it expected to get as far south as Pflugerville tonight? Wrap your pipes, Steve!

@ a/c there and heater back! i've done that soooo many times! y'all be careful up there. we just got a weather crawl for a winter advisory for everywhere north of us from 6am to noon tomorrow.
i got a great drink recipe to keep you warm
heat a cup of apple cider (or juice if you like) in the microwave or on the stove. pour 1 oz of Tuaca (carmel liquor) in a coffee cup and add the cider. stir in some cimmannon with a cimmonno stick and top with whipped cream, perfereably cool whip. tastes like apple pie and really warms you up!

Irony: I stayed home sick today in the hopes I would be back at work feeling fine tomorrow.
Dilemma: If I still feel like crap, do I call in sick on a snow day?
Opportunity: The boss says to use your best judgement in cases of inclement weather whether the office is open or not. I live 30 miles from the office; I am probably staying home.
More Irony: I will probably feel exceptionally well and rarin' to go tomorrow, but only if it is so icy I can't set foot outside the front door.

went to work in short sleeves and had the a/c on.
i was at a client's business redoing his network, went outside for a smoke...sweating.
30 minutes later my partner went to get something out of his truck, his jacket.
10 minutes later rain, rain, rain.
wishing i had a jacket!!!
drove home, a lot colder but no rain.
now we, isis and i, are curled up on the couch under quilts her mom made..i just love cold weather!!

Our weather update--- Just watched a reporter showing a jackknifed rig across I-40 just East of the crosstown. THe crosstown (I-40) is elevated and is just South of downtown OKC. The Texas four drove it Saturday from I-35 to their hotel.. It is apparently a sheet of ice now.. Sooooooo glad Richard didn't go to do the show!

Well here in Tenn. it's been cloudy and warm all day. But in the event, we rednecks like to be prepared with what we call a 'Redneck Casserole'....
1 loaf white bread
1 gallon of milk
1 dozen eggs
1 lb. of bologna
extra packs of smokes
case of beer
latest girly magazine
Plus we always keep extra kerosene or a generator, hell it can snow ten feet, but you gotta have some Hank playing on the stereo. Most of the time you can forget the food as long as a redneck has smokes, a cold brew and some halfway decent porn to get us motivated in case the ole gal decides to get frisky we're ready for any kind of weather. I guess I picked the wrong time to stop drinking and since I don't have a steady gal, that girly mag sure will come in handy. Only problem is, I hate white bread, not much of milk drinking, eggs and bologna are good, but I've been trying to watch my cholesterol......on second thought, please God don't let it snow!!!!!

Well I think I figured out how to make the file okay for uploading here...
These are a few pictures from about 2 hours ago. We've still had the lightening and continued rain.... About 30 minutes after these pics were taken they closed 3 highways (at least temporarily) for awhile.

Right Now In PITTSBURGH PA Its 61 Degrees, Which Is Rather Unusual For This Time Of Year In This Area. It's Been Spring Like All Week But It's Supposed To End Tonite. I'f I Didn't See Snow Again For The Rest Of My Life It Wouldn't Bother Me At All , Since I Catch Hell Removing It From School District Property In My Line Of Work.

And you just dealt with that last year here in Oregon. LMAO
We were supposed to have gotten the same.... freezing rain last night into today. But only certain parts got it, we actually woke up (geesh, I dam'n near typed "woked up", hahaha)... to a warmer temp this morning.
Susie.... That pic of your window glass, that's how it was here last year. I had to use a propane torch to melt around my doors enough to get in my Suburban. Very pretty.... but kinda freaky too. Too many accidents happen.
Hope you guys all fare okay... stay warm & off the roads:)
