Is that a Yamaha speaker setup I see?

My first set of Yamahas were particle board, which you can not tell until the covers start to get some usage. I got caught in the rain once with them. I had a swelling problem with one of them. The back started to stick out past the intended edge.

I was seriously considering an upgrade with a new set of Yamahas, until I read this disturbing news. I am pretty much soured on them now.

I believe the new ones do. And more wattage rating. I can't tell from the picture if they are the new ones or the old.

I would like to visit anyone's show who are members of KS to see how you host a show. I am willing to travel around lets say 150-200 mile radius from where I am (South Central Wisconsin, Madison Area) to see your show. I would be bringing my spouse and maybe some friends with me. Hi Mike, I would highly recomend Bab's show, especially for the learning experience......I'm pretty sure it falls within your driving range.....lots of hotels in the area.....welcome to KS, buddy..........jj

Why yes, they still sound very good. I'm not a big fan of particle board. Sooner or later it all falls apart. I was extremely disturbed to find out they started using it on all of their boxes. If you get them wet in the rain they will warp. That's why I stay under cover if I'm outside. I really don't want to spend good money on anything particle board. I wouldn't put it in my hosue and I really don't want it in my speakers. I might build plywood boxes and gut the insides. The new ones come with a crossover. And they have a little more wattage rating. Can't beat the sound from them. Excellent choice Hobby. :worship: :worship: I can really respect a guy like you. :worship: No pussyfooting hack here. :O A quality KJ with my highest rating. :hi5: :oh yeah: :handshake: :hug: :worship:

The subs don't have any crossover, you'd be in the same boat.
