I am wanting to try out a hoster and picked up sax and dottys, and also sack o nuts. I am having an issue with the way it imports music. When I choose the folder with all of the mp3g's it only lists those that have tracks. When I ripped them I took out mosts of the tracks and just list them by artist title. Is there a way to get it to see all of the mp3g's in the folder? Thank you.

Can't help you with S&Ds, but when it comes to Sacks-O-Nuts I am the man to talk to, I wrote it.  I can walk you through it but this is probably better handled by e-mail.  Send your questions to outintheweeds@hotmail.com.  That goes for anyone else with a SON problem registered user or not.

Hello Blackrose.  It has been awhile since I last used Sax-n-Dotty, but I think you'll have to name your MP3Gs to a standard naming convention.  Here is an example of a properly named, zipped MP3G file:

LG025-01 - Presley, Elvis - Viva Las Vegas

You may use CDG Autoname along with the list from KJ Pro, if you have a lot of files to rename.  Otherwise, type away with gusto!

Good luck.

Ack, I dont want to re type! What about a program like song list generator? Could that rename them all?

Song List Generator does not rename files; rather, it scans your folders and uses the file names to generate a list of songs.  CDG Autoname will rename your files, but you will also need to have KJ Pro since it uses the database of songs in that software.

You may also check out the Airwer Karaoke Song List Creator.  I believe that it will rename your files.

Try a program from LATSHAW SYSTEMS called "KJ FILE MANAGER"

As for hosting solutions, I compared MTU Hoster and Compuhost and I chose Compuhost w/ Fastracks Basic. It was more money than I wanted to spend, but it has made running my show a pleasure. The fun facts and history functions are worth it especially when you can print out the history and show disgruntled singers (who think they don't sing enough) exactly how many times they sang and what songs they performed. It has saved me a few headaches!
