I've downloaded Audacity, but it asks for "lame software everytime I try to save to mp3 and it won't let me. I downloaded Lame version 3.9 or something, but still no good.

Can someone layout in simple english terms how to save on MP3? I love to upload more songs, but don't have any I can put on.

Thanks!

It did the same thing to me too. I just googled lame software, downloaded it, and you have to unzip it I believe, I can't quite remember, after you open it once, it should work. Let me know if you have any problems:)

Lame is FREE, and here is the HOME of LAME....
http://lame.sourceforge.net/index.php

I belive that after you install it/un zip it, you will have to go in the settings of Audacity and tell it where the lame encoder is.

yup, same with Audiograbber... you have to tell the program WHERE the lame_enc.dll file is located!

I install LAME separately from my recording programs. I mixed down the recorded tracks to WAV. Then from there I convert it to mp3. if needed. Going this way make it easier for me to use the original wav file to redo the convertion to mp3 if there is a file size limit as the case when uploading to SS.
