Does anyone have a recommendation for a racmounted player, I have seen on line the Numark 25 cdg and the gemini player which for the most part looks the same. Does anyone use or have any info on these? I am presently using a JVC 303 but I am willing to give up the  triple drawer for a good rackmount unit

I have been using the Numark 25G for about a year now and it is a good quality unit. It is built like a tank and actually seems to have better tracking than the JVC/RSQ 303/333.

The one downside to the Numark 25G is that the two CDG drawers have separate video outs, meaning that you would have to have a switchbox if you want to run them both at the same time on the same TV. This has not been a problem for me since I only run one tray at a time and just have to have the next singer's disk ready to load once the other singer is done (they cue up much much more quickly than the JVC).

Also remember that you could just buy a rack shelf and rackmount your JVC 3 drawer if you wanted to!!

If one breaks, they both go to the repair shop.    Then what?

Put the video switch in and play like a pro, back-to-back, nonstop, continuos karaoke music.

You can buy rack ears for your JVC!

this week I checked out the gemini and the numark 25g decks. The sales person told me that both units use a key changer that changes keys by speeding up or slowing down the music. As soon as I heard that I told him to forget if. Back to square one unless anyone makes a real good quality outboard key changer

Alot of units do the same thing, including your JVC 303. I use the key changer on the Numark 25G during my show and no one has ever complained, though obviously a digital key changer would be better.

Interesting.....  I was never aware that the JVC 303 changes the keys by speeding up and slowing down the music. So I should be looking for  a digital key changer..any suggestions

The JVC doesn't speed or slow the music, it's done digitally - do a time comparison, IF there is any change, it will be miniscule to none.  The Numark is the one that speeds/slows to achieve key change.

Haven't seen that one yet, looks interesting.  Could be the new replacement???  Who knows, but it has a digital key changer built in not done by slowing/speeding.

I called RSQ and found out that it is a new replacement for the rsq t-2. They named it rsq t-2k. I guess k is for digital key changer. they also mentioned that the video and audio outputs can be independant or can be combined into one. Deck looks real professional and is a racknount deck. I think Im gonna give it a try. Does anyone have any comments on RSQ products?

When their 2 players were made by JVC, they were pretty much a standard.  JVC no longer makes anything of theirs so no telling.  I would say at least for the price, I would go ahead & give it a shot.  It at least LOOKS like a sturdy player, has most karaoke functions needed & cost is reasonable unlike another dual player from VP.
