Hi all, I have been having a horrible time with my recordings and now I know the problem is my inspire pre-amp. Instead of using this I would like to use a different mixer, amp or pre-amp. How would I hook a mixer or amp (or do I need both) to my computer? Any suggestions?

A bad recording can be due to one or a combination a a few factors. Look at the source, your mic, then your preamp, then your soundcard/audio interface.
What mixer do you use and what soundcard to you have? How do you record? Do you record 'live' thru a karaoke machine or do you separate the vocal track from the backing when you record?
