I noticed some xlr connectors are made of plastic and sone are medal. Has anyone had a problem with either. Im going to make the connection from my mixer to the powered speakers approx 25 feet. What is perferred

Stay away from plastic ones and go with metal XLR connectors and plugs.

These mics look and sound just like SM58 and they are so cheap.

jdrifter is absolutely correct on both counts...use only the metal connectors, more durable plus i bought a four pack of those mics 8 months ago...sound super  and have had zero problems...
