In my neck of the woods, karaoke goes from 10 pm to 2 am on a Friday or Saturday at most joints. During the week, most places are also 10pm to 2am, though a few are 9pm to 1am. By 10pm, I'm ready for bed. In Vegas many places were 7 to 11(that's ironic, I know), or 6 to 10.....me and Vegas got along just fine....  ......how bout you guys?

9P used to be standard around here Bars have to be empty and locked by 2A so there is absolutely nothing past 1:30.... It is becoming more like a start of 8P and if it warrants it we stay and then we are compensated according to extra time... Depending on how long happy hour lasts or if they have a dinner crowd I will play DJ at reduced volume From 7 or 7:30 to start of karaoke... This is free gratis as it generates private party business and during this time is when I am mingling with the crowd socializing and promoting.. Also during this time if there are a bunch wanting to karaoke Ill start early... So just like my venue I can totally adapt to the needs of the crowd even timewise. Some nights we will shut down early and everybody will go to another show and support them.. |

Friday and Saturday 9 PM until 2 AM (extended to 3 AM on occassion) Wednesdays 8 PM until 12 AM ( extended to 1 or 2 AM on occassion) *I only work over time if paid to stay. |

IN the Dallas Ft Worth area most places run karaoke from 8 or 9 til 2:00 am. |

At Terrace View Marina-Fridays 6 til 10:30/11:00 (off season hours) At Rhea Harbor-Saturdays whenever I'm booked 5 til ? since it's a private party At Spring City Marina-Wednesdays(while weather permits since it's outdoors) 6 til 10pm Please keep in mind that I do a dinner hour of solo songs, light rock/lounge type material. Most places around here it's 9-1 because of the 2 o'clock close. But where I work is a private club, so we can close whenever we like. So I prefer to start @ 10, because most folks check out the in-town bars early evening, then head out to the lake our way, so we usually start late. I'll start anywhere between 9 to 9:30 if I have 2 or more singers come in, but usually it's 10 o'clock. I'll give them an extra half hour for free if needed, after that I work on tips. |

Here in Wisconsin bars have to be closed by 2 during the week and 2:30 on Friday and Saturday nights. Usually my weeknight shows run from 8:30-12:30 and weekends from 9:30-2. |

Most of the clubs here run from 9-1 (or 2 depending on the club). Ours run 9-1 Sun-Thur & 9-1:30 on Fri & Sat. |

Here it is generally 9-1:30 during the week with a couple earlier exceptions. Friday & Saturday 9-2 or 2:30. AMVETS where I usually go is Thursday 7:30 - 11:30 and Friday and Saturday 8-1:30. |

Everyone is different. Sunday 9-1 Tuesday 9-1 Wednesday 10-2 Only job in 14 years, to start this late. Thursday 9-1 Saturday 9:30-1:30 The bar owners doing 9-1 want to get out early. If they had later starts they would make more money. Nobody gets to most places until 10-10:30-11... They are thinking about coming out and I'm thinking 
Wednesday most times there are 10 or less people at 10 o'clock, then the parade of people starts. Get 25-30 singers and about 50 total. It's rare that there are many early birds, anywhere, anymore. Years ago lots of people would come early to get good seats and to eat before the start. Must be the fashionably late thing. They don't care if they miss the 1st hour, but they always want ot sing late. 14 years ago all the jobs were 9-1. I use to panic if nobody was there at the starting time. Now I don't panic until after 10. Now they want later starts, for later crowds. Last call for alcohol is 1:45 AM. |

I should update this. The local clubs say that the karaoke goes 'til 2:00 but they actually stop at 1:45 bar time. |

we have venues that start as early as 7:30 by a hack... and others that normally start at 8 or 9. The ones that start at 8 usually end earlier! |

As Bigdog said, late crowds often here also. I use the expression when someone says, "Where is everybody?" I'll reply, "Don't worry, the buses will be pulling up soon." And that's exactly what it seems like at times. Wednesday's right now are the busiest. Last Wednesday, had twenty five singers lined up before start time. Then of course it's slow until 9:45/10:00. I think the karaoke times mostly run in line with your county's particular blue laws, i.e. when the bars have to stop serving alchohol. Here in Pinellas Co., FL bars are required to have all drinks OFF of the tables by 2:00 a.m.. If even 1 beer is still in a patron's hand at 2:01 a.m., it is a $2000 fine for the first offense and a liquor license violation for the second offense. As such, most karaoke runs 9:00 p.m. - 1:30 a.m., allowing 30 minutes of downtime to get everyone out of the bar. About 10 minutes away across the bay in Tampa, bars are open until 3:00 a.m. and most karaoke runs from 9:30-2:30. It is all about the alchohol!! |

Theyre usually 9-1 around here. I wish they had more resturaunt/lounges that would do karaoke & run it from like 8-1 or so since I dont drink anymore the crowd gets kinda rowdy for me at about 11. Id also like somewhere to take the family to do it. My kids love to sing. |

Around here the bars close at 2 a.m. every night of the week so no danger of going later... Regarding the shows a family can go to... There are none around here if the place serves alcohol. Because of non-smoking issues the restaurant/pubs had to declare if they were a restaurant or a bar; the one show we had where kids could go to (until 10:00 p.m.) had to declare itself a bar so no kids...  There is one restaurant with karaoke but it's tied to the CMSA (Country Music Singers Association) so it is not an advertised karaoke night, rather a get-together for the group (which includes children).
All our karaoke shows are from 9:00 - 1:00 a.m. with the exception of Wednesday night which is from 8:00 - 12:00.. One of our Tuesdays tried starting at 8:00 but there is a large late-night contingent, including many servers from restaurants, so it works better from 9:00 - 1:00 a.m. When I'm going to go out to karaoke I like an earlier start time, heck, if it starts at 10:00 p.m. I'd probably just stay home and get into my p.j.'s! There is one Bar I love cos it open early. At 5pn on the dot. Close 1 am weekdays and 2 week end and eve of public holidays. Most karaoke Bars here open around 8.30 - 9.00 pm. |
