Post subject: | Channel question M-audio Delta 44 breakout box / powermixer |
Hello, I just bought the M-Audio card and breakout box. Will I use channel 1 out to left speaker of my powermixer (PMX 2000), and channel 2 out to Right of speaker, or just channel 1 out of breakout box, to L and R of Power mixer , (1 in 2 out 1/4 cable required) ? Thanks Keith |

I think keith is still busy on his ol ford so Ill give you some thoughts. Ive hooked up mine about every way possible but you have a couple of options. The 1/2 out on ther breaker box represent L/R so the first option is routing 1 to the left and 2 to the right on a single channel or strip. The method I prefer is route 1 to a strip L/Mono in, panned center...The right is routed the the adjacent strip same way. This puts both mono to the mixer buss and they add in a db fashion to help with the overall gain structure and headroom Also each fader can be run at -3 to -6 db. (Im running this level normalled out thru a Bbe And Aphex and back to the mains ).The efx2 (post fader) on the 1 strip is set at almost nothing and on the 2 strip it is set at unity. Im running both internal (mixer)FX and external Fxand with 2 fingers on the faders I have a better control and sensitivity on mixing dry with wet Fx... .. |
