Rob, the thing that kept the Pioneer Laser discs from being boring was the different story lines to fit the music.   When they started to get cheap they did generic scenery pictures.     They didn't go over so well.   My point is, why make your own VCDs?   What are you going to use for video that won't be on everyone?   To keep it from getting boring.     Just wondering.

Probably gonna use original music video background so your singing with the band. Like  the original footage series but more up to date songs. Also for my original Parody series collection(wich I've made about 40 of them) I'de like to add some funny video clips in them to make them more interesting or a slide show that doesnt get all fuzzy looking when converted to CDG.

Are u wanting them to be in CDG format to play on standard karaoke machines. This program doenst look like it lists CDG format as an option.

You could try www.KaraokeBuilder.com  Its pretty slick. I make my own karaoke tracks using blues instrumntals and my own original lyrics and vocal arrangments.

VCD is it's own format that plays karaoke discs in a VCD formatted karaoke machine.     Doesn't have to be CD+G.    Two separate animals.

There is VCD, CDV, DVD, CD+G, Super CD+G, etc.

I've already made about 150 songs with that program SwingcatKurt. I'm looking to make VCD's with Video background.

That is pretty awesome!  I only watched the Twain video, but it was much more than what I expected.  What materials did you start with to build that karaoke?

Started with the Shania Twain music video (took out the audio) Used the sound choice audio(scraped the CDG file) realligned the video and audio. then loaded all into Karaoke Video Studio and did the graphics there and Presto. :dancin:  :dancin:

Very cool.

What software would I need to remove audio?  I have a light version of Vegas and I assume that should do the job?  If not, what would you recommend?

In the Karaoke Builder, how hard is it to synch the sound with the lyrics?  Can it output in CD+G format?

Ok bigdog, I understand your not about beating around your own boyfriends bush, so in reference to size you like them bigger, but I'm refering to the clarity of the picture, since we all know it's going to get Bigger.

There is one in every crowd, now there's two!

I used a 100" screen and a video projector.    For the Pioneer Laser Discs.   The bigger it gets, the grainier it will get.     But that also depends on how close you will be veiwing it.    If you look at it from a distance, it should look fine.    It was advertised as a 60" projector.     60" looked real good.
