There is GOT to be an easier way to do this! I have my s-video hooked up from pc to tv. OK, the desktop picture is on the TV without the icons of course! But I cant get any video to transfer or visualization or anything else! Are karaoke programs the only thing that works with the other monitor? I mean, the screen saver does'nt even transfer. I goes black. HELP HELP!

I assume you mean DUAL displaly. Yes you can put visiulations, videos, and other things on the 2nd screen, just drag them over there, or check settings. |

Is the computer configured for the second display? It just doesn't happen you have to set it up. |

actually dog, most pcs WILL boot up and recognize the dual display. Twan is right... you click and drag it over... unless you have a program that will auto sense it and configure it, such as clubdjpro! |

I have a 2 year old laptop that has XP on it and has the extended desktop. I have a 1 year old desk top with XP that doesn't have it.

Can you go in to your display settings and actually see two displays? It will show two monitors in the settings. If it don't, it don't. |

I figured it out, i had to go to my graphic card settings and enable the extended desktop. I tried to do it in my display settings, and it wouldn't work. Now when I turn on the computer I have to right click the ATI icon at the bottom and select "Extended Desktop". Seems to work ok. |

Assuming that you have already hooked up the TV to the S-Video out of your PC or laptop, you need to turn on the TV before booting up the PC or laptop. You should see the TV screen flicker and then the boot up screen for Windows. Once Windows has completed its boot sequence, you right click on an empty space on the desktop, click on properties to open up "Display Properties". Click on the "Settings" tab. You should see Monitor 1 and Monitor 2. If not, click on the check box for "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor". Depending upon your hosting software, when you play MP3+G, you should see the lyrics on the TV screen. If not, click on the screen on your PC or laptop and drag it on your right until it appears on the TV. You may have to tweak the size to fill up the TV screen. HTH. |
