does the free version of winamp NOT play regular cd's?????? Mineonly plays the first 60 seconds and then asks for a register and serial key! |

Are you talking about the one to play cdg's off the cd? If so It is a demo not freeware but costs $24.95 to register. The MP3+G plugin plays files off the computer and costs nothing for the full features. |

You must have the CDG DISC player pluging installed. Un-Install it, and install/enable the nullsoft cd plug-in, and all will be OK |

Also, Go get Karafun for free and try it: http://www.karafun.com No fiddlin with plugin's, just download and install, then open the program and click on one of your songfiles...It's simple! Totally free, no trial periods, easy to uninstall if you don't like it.

in my experience the lite version of winamp will not play ordinary cds But then I dont mind this as I hate the way winamp used to just take over the whole computer. At least nowadays it behaves itself |
