Okay, this is just my opinion, so don't think I'm dissing the Canadians or anything.
Supernova, to me is just a side project. Based on the pop sound and the weakness of the original material, I really don't see it lasing past the first album and tour.
Lucas....well I'm just not sure what they saw in the boy, you can't understand a single word he sings, and the constant tongue sticking out will get old real quick. I am almost willing to wager that by time they do their first gig, you'll see alot of the goth look gone, along with the cheesy studded wrist bands. Personally I thought most of the contestants were pretty weak myself, without a clue as to what and who they were auditioning for.
Can you say MONEY....that's what it's all about, some quick cash. Tommy Lee is always on the mark with his drumming. Jason, having played with Metallica, Voivod, Flotsom and Jetsom, I'm sure will get bored quickly of this simplified material that he's having to do. Gilby, although I respect his G'N'R days, is not much of a lead player, so I don't see the material advancing far beyond what it already is. But having said that, props to Lucas for winning, not my choice, but still wish him the best.
It will be interesting to see what they come up with for next season on Rockstar. Speaking of, remember INXS, wow, the new reunion ended up being pretty much a one semi-hit wonder. If it weren't for the show Vegas playing their tune as their theme, we would have pretty much forgotten about them by now. In fact most of you probably had, except for the fact that I brought it up again.
Don't get me wrong, I still like the show Rockstar, but just wish they didn't limit the song selection to the generic alternative rock that has already seen better days. Let the contestants pick their own and really be able to show what their capable of.
Like I said, this is just my opinion, that and a dollar will almost get you a soda at your local convenient store, so don't put much credibility into what I say, I've been wrong before.
