I am very interested in purchasing a Bose cd player because I want to get a better listenof how my burned cdr's of my recording sound. I sent an email to them asking if their cd players play cdrs and got a roundabout response...would anyone know the exact answer to this? In the meantime, I'll be heading to my local Brookstone which sells them and bring along one cdr to check... |

I hate to say it but don't hold your breath. They probably never heard of CD+G which is why they gave a vague answer. I love Bose, too. |

I love Bose, too. It wasn't cdg's that I was inquiring about, it was cdr's... though they may not have heard of cdgs... |

I've got a friend of mine in Portland that uses the Bose speaker system for her karaoke show... so while they may never have heard of karaoke, many folks in karaoke have heard them! |

Yes, my mother-in-law has a Bose, and it plays CDRs. |

Now the plot thickens.. I just called Brookstone, which sells Bose and they told me that they will play them if the cdr's say they are specifically for MUSIC data, Sony is one of them |

actually, it just sounded ok. The good news is the smaller speakers was very easy for the small woman to set up. The bad news is, I really heard the lightness of the bass... |

Well yesterday I discovered a Bose store on my way to Brookstone and the answer is yes my cdr was compatable.. Funny cause when the question was posed on the Bose website, they nearly lost a sale giving me incorrect info.. haven't purchased it yet.. went to Brookstone and they have their wafer thin cd system for about 300 dollars less than the Bose I want..It has a flat panel audio system..so now I just need to choose.. |

Is there any one system that gives equal opportunity to both? |

You do not want a BOSE system to play large bar gigs. Even small bar gigs for that matter. Wasn't made for leaving your livingroom. |
