Well.. uhm.. I just escaped from jail.. I learned singin there during the torture-sessions and decided to make a run for it and start a new life as a karaoke-singer.
I'm what you could call a risk-taker as I try to sing different songs everytime they lock me up in a karaoke-bar.. Sometimes the door opens pretty soon (say like two seconds after I start) and usually I fly out the door.. basterds.. 
One time somebody came to me (after I sang 'I can't take my eyes of you' by Damien 'God' Rice) and told me that she lost her boyfriend recently and that they always role-played that video-clip. After he died she couldn't bear to hear that song. and this was the first time she stayed and listened.. and she was in tears.. I somehow made her come into terms with her loss.. and she told me she would never forget this moment.. and that it was beautiful and warm and real..
I was speechless.. and very honoured..
Just to say why I love karaoke.. always a surprise.. never a dull moment!
Except the waiting part.. that's why I want to sing at home to.. Trying to set up a system..
Anyway.. hope to make some friends here!

I find if you show up to some karaoke places early you can sing plenty.
Most people don't like to sing until they've had a few, so if you're
not shy you usually get to sing more.

In Belgium we just had a massive prison-escape.. More than 15 people at once. That should buy me some time.. :brows:
Just a thought.. Do you guys have the same 'Sometimes I'm a bit ashamed' feeling when on the karaoke stage? I used to be singer in a rockband and was the biggest animal in Western-Europe.. but I somehow feel a bit embarrassed on a karaoke night.. Sometimes I would sing realy off key to fit in! :rofl4:

Nah, just go in there thinking you're the best of the bunch...don't ACT it, but it's fine to think it...should help. I go up there sober so how bad can THAT be!!

Hey guys and girls.. thx for the warm welcome!
Next time I go to rob a karaokebar.. I won't hold back! Might even sing Paradise to torture them a bit!
Everybody on the floor and pull your ears open!! The first guy that moves has to take on the girls part! 
Since I'm new here.. are there any taboo's here? Things you don't talk about.. I always seem to say the wrong things to people..
