Any Help on BASIC Settings for this unit would be appreciated, what to boost.what to cut. this is on my main mix through a Mackie CFX-12,Also should the 9-band EQ on the Mackie be flat? I know every Room is unique but Starting Points would be Helpful,The I try to adjust it the more I get LISTENER FATIGUE. |

There is no right setting for any situation or room, everyone will be different. I can tell you to stay away from the "smile" pattern. A properly set eq will remain pretty much as flat as possible. You do not want to boost, only cut. You will do subtle cuts in the frequencies that sound harsh, piercing & muddy. On the 9 band, 250 hz, 2khz & 8khz will probably want to be pulled down a bit. |
