Have been wondering for a while, is it illegal to create your own CDG... 2nd question is how about using them in a business venue (like your own club)? |

Any alternative beside CDG? My current dvd player doesn't support CDG... I have learned way to remove the vocal out of a song... the next thing is learn how to synchronize the sweeping lyrics with the playback... then convert into DVD/VCD. Any good software to recommend? |

Any good software to recommend? I reather buy the player and the cdg; than do the +G part of the song. If you arebasicly cleaning the vox from those recording then the ans to your OP is Yes; its NOT legal. |

that's what i thought at the begining when asking the 1st question. i also found lots of website selling the vocal removal software for creating the CDG... why aren't they get sued since it is illegal to alter somebody's song? |

They are selling the tool, they are not removing the vocals. Selling you a hammer is not a crime, killing someone with the hammer is.
Another point, no matter what they say, websites claiming their software can remove vocals from tracks, is a load of balony. Looking at the pure physics of recorded music today will show you that it cannot be done without loosing a great deal of quality. If you need a track, buy it, or make it up with a good midi processor, like the Roland Canvas, or a midi module with sampled sounds. |

Quote: If you need a track, buy it... I wish I could just buy any track I want, but most of the time I could even find them in the market. Unless you wait for another 3-6 months or wait until they decided build one. Quote: or make it up with a good midi processor, like the Roland Canvas, or a midi module with sampled sounds
Good suggestion, but it is beyond what I would do... |
