Have any of you guys tried this?

There are a lot of comercials on tv now for it. It's supposed to be painless and
work on 80% of the people who do it.

I've been considering trying it. It seems to simple and odd to work.

It is like acupuncure with a laser. It is used on ears, hands etc..
They also do it for losing weight and other addictions.

Ah, the old accupuncture thing...you know, I used to work for a big healthcare system and they actually had a few practitioners of that art so there might be something to that stuff after all....never have tried it myself.

I would maybe do a check with the Better Business Bureau and also check to see if the clinic has any documented references or studies to back up their claims. I notice they offer "booster" treatments for upto a year for cravings.  If you're still having strong urges to smoke after one year, what will they do for you?  Do you have to pay full price all over again in order to continue with the clinic?

Accupuncture is a valid treatment for a lot of things but up until now I've never heard of utilizing a laser on accupuncture points. Might be something to it.
Oh yeah, how much do these treatments cost?

With regard to accupuncture, I wonder sometimes just how effective it is for behavioral problems.  Although I have known it to be used in cases of alcoholism I've no idea what the success rate.  Much of anything in modifying habits and behavior rest solely on how much the individual wants to change, methinks.

Interestingly I once read how habits are formed.  Every morning after you brush your teeth tap your toothbrush three times on the edge of the sink.  Do this for 12 days.  Chances are by the 13th day you will automatically do it without thinking....it baffles science!

Painless my arse. When they stick that leaser on your ear-lobes, you want to climb the ceilings.

All I can say is, my good friend, who owns a smokey bar, has had it done, and he hasn't smoked in several months. Could be he's getting all he wants from the air in his pub. Getting that done, does show you have a real determination to quit smoking, and this could be the secret of the success. If it's $95, then that's hardly the price of dinner for two, and they may have a refund, if not satisfied........the main point is......you've got to kick the habbit....Good Luck......johnny

Talked to my buddy today, and said he hasn't smoked since January. It cost him $290 not $95, and he said he felt like having a smoke, right after he had it done, and even now. He said he had made up his mind to quit smoking, before he went in, and it takes a lot of your own self control, but he felt the procedure gave him an edge......I say look at pictures of a smoker's lung, and healthy lungs. Look at pics of the faces of people over 40 that smoke verses ones that never smoked. And finally visit a hospital that treats lung, and throat cancers, and see people with tubes connected to cigarettes, comming out of their traciotomies ........stop smoking
