Post subject:  Digital Karaoke on a MAC - WHAT PROGRAM??!!
:worship: I'm begging the infinite wisdom of the group for direction! :worship:

Got a gig and the guy is MAC HAPPY - OK, so 'you say potato, I say PC'.... Regardless of MY platform preference, I've got to make my karaoke play on HIS machine, because HE'S gonna sign a FAT CHECK for it to entertain his party guests tonight.

So, I've gottalotta jimmying to do, and I apparently also need to grab some software. Does anyone know what will spin on an APPLE? I googled it with very limited results.

I only know of two programs for KJ side on Mac, iStar and KTune pro. Only problem is, both programs are in beta. Neither is ready for prime play. Of two, iStar seems to be further along with development. It looks like iTunes program and plays .kar files using Quicktime window. I don't think it supports second desktop yet for the players side. It looks more like play karaoke on your computer type of program rather for professional use.

KTune comes in pro version and last time I checked their web site, it promises the world when it comes to features, for professionals, but I haven't seen half of them in product yet.

Try them out and find out when they will have a final version. Maybe you can make some suggestions on features. Until then, I am sticking with PC side with MTU Hoster.
