Does anybody know how to create a .cdg file from scratch? I'm not alking about ripping cdg's from disc to HDD. I mean actually writing a .cdg file. Is there a program that makes them? Thanks for any input.

There are several programs out there that creates them.
PowerKaraoke Karaoke cdg creator
MTU Karaoke Home Producer
Karaoke Builder Studio
Dart Karaoke studio
CDG Author

All have their various features and all have demos to see which will fit your needs.
Home producer is the easiest to use and the newest version can create KMA files for use with Hoster.
while the other's are capable of making digital versions of the songs without having to convert anything.

LOL! C'mon DANNY!!! LMAO!!

IN YOUR OPINION, MTU's Home Producer is the easist to use!

PLEASE! IN one blanket statement, you threw the others down the hill!  I realize what you're saying, but if you read the statement slowly, it really is an unfair judgement.

Panther, I've personally tried Dart and MTU's Home Producer, and didn't care for them as much as I've loved "Karaoke Builder Studio". I've created several tracks. I downloaded CDG Author, but didn't like it from the description and immediately deleted it without trying it. I can't give an opinion on Power Karaoke... I've read about it, but that's as far as I ever went, because for me, right now, Karaoke Builder Studio works wonders.

Forgot to mention though that PowerKaraoke's program makes the coolest looking backgrounds as it allows pictures as a border though out the songs. No more just the words and you don't lose half the screen for the pictures as you would with home producer. :nana:
