Spent most of the evening on Sunday listening to the incredibly beautiful music subbed over the weekend. I found myself inspired in ways I'd never imagined.
Surprised so many were locked, but the context of your song pages gave me a clue.
All of you are truly an inspiration to me as I struggle with my own crippling shyness and fear of plastering my life out over the internet.
Thank you again
And, if anyone thinks the above comment is "fluff" and shouldn't be seen -- revise your dictionary and repeat after me:
fluff = a fan
fluff = a fan
fluff = a fan
Just sign me off (for today) as:
A TRUE FAN OF THE SINGERS IN THE SS

Fluff does meet this criteria. Place for fluff, under my songs in singers showcase, time, now!
I can handle all of the "fluff" dished out, and like it. I'm cool that way.

Sure cure for shyness: Go the entire day, in public, wearing a fried egg on your head...has to be a fried egg though, no substitutes!

Nah, Singer's Showcase has enough stuff going on. Last thing it needs is me singing.

Have to agree, Chuck
Kappy, if you don't like the topic, I hereby give my permission for you to hijack it for anything you like.
(whispers, "do I dare mention how much I loved Mason william's 'Classical Gas'?) answer: nope
2Chuck Thanks, Man for letting me know I can sometimes pass the smell test 4 fluff
PS No disrepect ever intended to go your way, man. You do enough of that on your own
2Michael In your honor, if I ever have the courage to put up a real avatar -- Iwill post one with a fried egg on my head!

no problem. Thanks for leaving a note to tell me what happened
Otherwise I might have thought you were starting a counterproof for a subset of Paul Dirac's famous anti-matter equations... :no:

Classical Gas goes back a few years. For some reason just hearing that title, makes me think "Please come to Boston" is about to be played on the radio next :shock:

Oh yes. That it would :shock: I suppose it's a form of unity, when everybody in a site is rolling around on the ground laughing so hysterically they can't catch their breath. Just make certain you don't have anything solid in your mouth you might suddenly inhale, liquids are guaranteed to fly out your nose, and empty your bladders first !

I want to hear Steve perform the "Glitter and be Gay" aria from Berstein's operetta "Candide", accapella please. A phoned in peformance would work from halfway across the globe if potential embarassment is a factor. "Comment only" mode is acceptable.
PS: Just as an educational note to music lovers, this aria poses considerable difficulties. In sheer vocal/technical terms, it is among the most fiendish coloratura soprano arias. If sung as written throughout (alternative phrases are provided at several points in the score), there are four high E-flats (above high C), two staccato and two sustained; there are also numerous requests for high C and D-flat. Some of the florid passages are very intricate, calling for marksmanship of the highest order.
I'll bet he could breeze right through it in one breath!
