As the subject says DJ mixer or karaoke mixer what's the difference?
I know that Dj mixer has more function than Kara mixers, but i am unsure about kara mixer's performance.
I have a Behringer 18chan mixer and it's very good when i try it at friend's parties. But lately I am setting for a friend's wedding and they are asain so they like to sing a lot of Karaoke in those banquets. I do notice that DJ mixer don't really have those many karaoke effects.
A sales person from some store recommend me these 2 brand for Karaoke mixer
BMB DX-3000
Vocopro DA-1050pro
However I never actually tried them or tested side by side. But I really do hope to jam up my friend's banquet party. if anyone has any other brands with better quality and easy convience i would appreciate also.
Or if ne1 has a good brand DJ mixer for karaoke parties. cause i'm more used to Dj mixers.

The 18 channel mixer sounds fine to me. A DJ mixer has the cross fader stuff that being a KJ you won't need. If you wanted to fade songs in and out for DJing the mixer can still be used to do that with the channel volumes. Use the 18 channel mixer to plug in your machines and mikes. Unless you do major DJing, I wouldn't worry about anything.
