I have not received it cos I do not have my email up. And that is the reason I don't want my email up. If some one ones to pm me then that's OK.
That's a spam and an abuse of the system. You may want to contact the admin.

Hi Jian: I got this too...somehow there is a patina of fishiness about it?  Perhaps Webguru can fill us in or post something in the forum to clear the air.  It's a sad commentary when even something that might be a lot of fun and by all accounts, kosher, turns up in your e-mail and you feel compelled to contact Scotland Yard!  MJK

PS:  As for the contents of this thing, it was announcing some kind of regularly scheduled contest and had three levels:  singing on web cam or just sending in your recording.  The FISHY part about it was the offer of a free webcam to the first 25 people who responded to the e-mail (NOW THAT IS FISHY--that's what raised my eyebrow).

I actually just tried to go to bix.com, and nothing came up, except a blank page. Did I get the address right? Just wanna see what the "fishyness" level is for the site.

I posted Phil, the web administrator here on this deal--hopefully he can clear the air on this thing.  There is some dubious escapades of a highly piscatorial redolence transpiring in Denmark!

No! Say it isn't so. Another spam email. Let me see, it is 5:30 in the morning and I just checked my email and there were 27 messages overnight and none of them were from people or places I know. Oh well just another morning on the internet. Select all, delete! Man what a drag.

I understand from The Web Guru this is something being sanctioned by administration so I guess it's okay then.

Hey,  If you think you guy's are lucky !   I have three people a day trying to send me million's of dollar !!

Here's another one as we speak.  So there is a God...... I feel so blessed !!!

(I also never knew my family was so big.... lot's of cousin's getting charged by Rhino's, and driving off've cliffs daily)

Principal Attorney

(Jude Iwele & Associate Chambers)

Accra, Ghana.

Dear Kaplan,

I am Barrister Jude Iwele a solicitor at Law and Personal Attorney to Mr. Allan Kaplan, an expatriate who worked as a contractor here in Accra Ghana, herein referred to as my late client.

On the 30th of April 2003, my client was involved in a car accident along Accra express way and all the occupants of the vehicle unfortunately lost their lives.

Since then I have made several enquiries here to locate any of my client’s extended relatives, but this has also proved unsuccessful.

After these several unsuccessful attempts, I decided to search through with his name which motivated me to contact you to locate any member of his family hence I contacted you.

I have contacted you to assist in repatriating the fund valued at US$9.5 million left behind by my late client before it gets confiscated or declared unserviceable by the bank where this huge amount is deposited.

The said Security & Finance Firm/bank has issued me a notice to provide the next of kin or have his account confiscated within the next twenty one twenty one official working days.

Since I have been unsuccessful in locating the relatives for over two years now, I seek your consent to present you as the next of kin to the deceased to the Security & Finance Firm / bank so that the proceeds of this account can be paid to you.

Therefore on receipt of your positive response, we shall then discuss the sharing ratio and modalities for transfer and I will provide an application which you will submit to the Security Finance Firm/bank as his next of kin for payment approval .

You should note that I have all the necessary information and legal documents needed to back up this claim.

All I required from you is your honest co-operation to enable us see this transaction through for our mutual benefits.

I await your immediate response through my alternate email address: jude_iwele@myway.com

Best regards.

Barr Jude Iwele.

Steve, wasn't that the dude that was involved in that Scopes Monkey Trial? The name rings a bell.  I don't think he's so much an attorney as he is a "legal advisor", something along the lines of Algonquin P. Calhoun...worth looking into. I'll have my partner, who IS an attorney, do some sleuthing for you.  I know how badly you want that money...let's hope it comes out all right!  MJK

I checked out the songs that had available to compete with--nope, nothing there for me! My Puff Daddy repetoire is a bit rusty I'm afraid.  My best shot here is to run out and by a stack of Jessica Simpson discs and analyze them carefully.  Dammit!
