   The wave is kind of my white flag, I started reading these posts to find out how to start being able to put your songs on here like you all do, I dont know the first thing about this stuff, but WOW I have been reading some of the posts I think I might be better off just going to the bars and doing my karaoke, and listening to you guys. All of this sounds really complicated and I didnt think I was that stupid, I guess you all proved me wrong........... No really I guess its all jusr foreign language to me right? Do all of you really do all of your recordings away from your computer then put in on? Like I said I am new and when I say new to this site I mean NEW.... LMAO ....  I love to sing but I dont have the kind of money it evidentally takes to be on this site, and thats not said to be sarcastic, I think i might have just gotten a little scared reading these posts, lol lots of ways to do things.  God I am afraid to even ask this. Is there any easy way of being able to record your songs on here?   :need hug:  lol  I thought ok i can record this through my computer and put a song on, I think I am wrong arent I? LMAO Any answers out there, please dont bite my head off (shrinking back into whole she came out of...) Thanks in advance to any help.... Dana

Do you have any recording programs on your computer like Cool Edit Pro, Adobe Audition or Audacity? That, a soundcard and microphone is all you really need for sure.

Listen, I managed to figure this all out, so you can too. lol If you would like assistance, you can email me and I will help you out. It would be a shame not to do it because you think it's difficult because it's really not.

You can start with what you have now. learnt how to do it. and get the most out of the present set up. Then you can up grade; a new mic a good interface and a good software. Before that, use what you have. beleive me you will gat a good mix. And don't be shy about asking question; we all were there before.

Don't feel bad,  Digital audio interfacing onto computer is foreign for many of us... Recording to me still means "tape"... I'm new at all of this too...  Many of us didn't grow up in a computer age...  We just bought these computers, and after 5 trips to repair places after deleting windows, and programs rather than closing them,  we learned via hardknocks.... You close a program, you don't delete it....you don't do this... or that.....etc....   Very little involving stuff with a computer is "obvious",  it requires instruction to figure out new areas, programming, what software is best for a given application, etc... I'm still asking Jian about what I plug into where LOL
