Absolutely amazing !

You know the sad thing about these young prodige's tho ?    They so often are absolutely brilliant when they are young,  then they grow up, and although still excellent.... In the pro-am world, there is so much excellence.

Nice thing about technology,  when she's older and just another "excellent" female pop vocalist, she'll have this video as a memory.  We didn't have such technology in our day JD....   Assuming we had,  I'd be able to show you the video onstage of me doing that same song when I was 2 years old

Jerry,  You'd recall this,  I never saw video's, except brief clips... Yet childhood geniuses have always of course existed...  Do you recall anything of Shirley Temple before she was 10 ?

One other thing Jerry.  How old was Judy Garland when she did "Wizard of Oz" ?

Shirley was young, however, Judy was sprouting boobs allready, and the studio taped her down to appear younger..

Sad butt true..

Jerry,  check this 9 year old's singing out..  Of course pre-teen, you run into abit of a timbre problem, since the voice isn't at all mature... Yet listen to her ability

The soundman should have trim some of the top for the vox and add some low. Now I have to do it on my system. That was good evn by aduld standard.

That video...... to me, is kinda sad. That little girl doesn't even appear to be enjoying playing that fiddle. (oopsie... guess hers is a "violin")  :D

Going to alot of fiddle contests and events (but sadly, it's mostly only the contests...) you see alot of little ones who are SO well trained on the fiddle. They hold the bow perfect, each note is true, their pizicatto (sp?) is excellent..... But, they look like they're bored to death, and scared to mess up lest they make their parents angry. They rarely ever get brought to the "fun" events, where we play and sing for crowds, just a get together, jamming on stage and taking turns on the mic. Because there's no gain there. (no awards, no ribbons, no cash, no name in the roster....)

Once in a while, you'll see a little one.... for example the 14 year old boy here, Alex Hargreaves... He won his age division a few times at the state contest, then the last two years he has won the STATE Champion (against the best of the best adults here). And he's just amazing. Lots of training, but oodles of natural talent in that kid too. And, he has fun. I've watched him for about 6 years now, and he loves to play the fiddle, it's not just shoved on him by his parents.

That video... the girl just looks so mechanically programmed to play.

(now I gotta go watch the other video links.... sorry for interupting you all)
