I need to edit/add lyrics on some songs in my library. What are your recommendations for this project.

Thank you

While Karaoke Home producer is a great program, I recently played around with Powerkaraoke's Karaoke cd+G creator and was pleasantly surprise at it's ease of use and the ability to do duets. The look after creation is really neat too as you can have grahics intertwined arouns the lyrics.  With Home Producer you can have Graphics in the lyric area but it can only be at the top of the screen.
Karaoke cdg creator has a wizard that takes you through the steps of creating a file.

I haven't checked out the MTU product on Karaoke creation but I have played around with Power Karaoke's product and I liked it a lot. It was easy to use and produces pretty good version. I used MP3 file to start creating and it has a neat feature that scrolls the music amplitude vertically so you know when the lyrics are coming in, etc. Pretty decent program in my opinion.

Thanks for the reference to these 2 products. I am going to give a go at the trial versions of these products.

The powerkaraoke's demo allows you to create a full song for 14 days before doing a scrambling of the lyrics. The only thing is it leaves a not registered message flashing through the song but for 14 days you can create full songs to get used to it.  HOme Producer's demo only does the first 60 seconds per song in demo mode.

When you're done creating the song, in the demo, can you burn it to a cd?

Yes providing you have the software and the writer to burn it with the subcodes.

I do this all the time and I've tried them all and the best 1 is "Karaoke Builder Studio". It's the most powerful and easy to learn how to use.

the simplest prog is home producer,  next is power karaoke as it has a wizrd that takes you through loading the audio track which can be an mp3(not so witht both home producer & Karaoke builder studio), reducing the vocals, finding lyrics from the internet, placing the lyrics, crating your "look" from the title page, lyric page and creadit page.    ability to do true duets. etc. even gives you the choice to either do mp3+G or BIN files.

changing a mp3 to a .wav file is a breeze...

and for that, I will stick with Karaoke Builder Studio!
