Love singing karaoke? You have to come down and compete in Billy O’s first ever karaoke contest-Ventura Idol. It’s a six week competition starting off with auditions and four exciting rounds of competitive karaoke singing. Audience members will vote for their favorite singer so bring your friends and family to cheer you on! It’s not all just about a great singing voice either, singers will be judged on Style, Creativity, Accuracy, Energy and Audience Interaction/Response. There will be a special duet round and a karaoke “Wheel of Death” round where song selection will be determined by a terrifying spinning wheel of death! Grand Prize: $500 Second Prize: $200 Third Prize: $100 tab Only $5 to register. Register online or come into Billy O’s and ask for a Ventura Idol Registration sheet. Audition sign ups are happening now! Auditions are July 13-14 and 20-21 from 8pm-10pm. Sign up for your time in advance or show up the night of the audition to sing for your chance at $500! The rounds of competition will happen over the next four weeks after the auditions from 8-10 leading up to a grand finale on August 18th where the winner will walk away with $500 and the title of Ventura Idol!
