Post subject:  One more new "guess what" thread....
Can't help it though. Guess what?

My daughter in law went to the hospital last night- in labor finally.

They decided to send her home early this morning, still in labor, but they think she might take a day or even a bit longer to actually be ready to be in the hospital. But, without naming all the little birthing technical details, LOL , as of the time we left last night, she's ready to go at any moment.

So....  :drums: .... Within the next few days, that face ya see in my avatar might just be the face of a real granny!!  :D=??  :( =??   :shock: =?? (all 3 I think, haha)

(and yes, I'm on the edge of my seat here, I'm excited)  :hi5:  :dancin:  :oh yeah:

:hug: Thank ya sweetie. I sure don't feel like no grandma, but it's my time I guess. Yeah, I'm ready for it. My youngest is 13 almost, so it's been way too long since I had a little one to spoil.

You can bet I will. If only I had a laptop to take to the hospital, I'd most likely be on here doing a play-by-play for you all.  :D  I've got my digital camera with extra cards & lots of extra batteries in my Bronco, so there's no way I'll forget it. And I might even coerce my friend Odie into letting me take his camcorder up there to do a video clip, and I'll post it in that other thread. Cause this is gonna be the cutest grandbaby ever born, you know.  :D

Congratulatons!  This is pretty cool stuff!  

You look way too young to be a grandma, but I agree with Singing Squid, if you gotta be you'll be the hottest grandma I ever saw!

Please keep us posted.  I'm praying that everything turns out okay and that everyone is healthy.

Wow, I just got here Charmin and I thought this would be just another thread, but nooooo....... I definitely agree with Dave and Larry!  I know the delivery is coming a bit ahead of schedule.  Let me know if you want to borrow the camcorder.  Hope everything goes well!   :hug:  :)

Gosh, guys, 38 is not too young to be a grandma!! Alot of people are by my age. I guess by some people's standards, it's young. I had my son when I was 18,  and now he's having a child at not-quite-20.... so maybe that is young for some people. Not where I come from though, haha. But thank you, I do want to be a grandma, I've gotten myself prepared for it- but I do NOT want to look like one. So ty for the nice comment.
And I will keep you posted. She's young & healthy, and always has been active, she's small built, but in good shape.... so I'm sure she'll do fine with everything. They had an ultrasound just 2 days ago, and baby is really healthy too. Thanks for the well wishes.

Well, when I'm sure it's happening....... You'll be getting a phone call Don.  :D  And I'll email ya about the camcorder, mine is not digital you know. I thought it might be fun to do a little video clip in that other thread, so people could see him/her screaming and squalling & know for sure it's MY grandbaby. haha

Thanks.... Actually, I'm home now.... and the way she's going, I'm pretty sure we're gonna be heading back up to the hospital sometime tonight.  :dancin:  :hi5:

I'm gonna take her out jogging if she don't hurry up and do something, lollll.... I'm getting anxious now.  :D

Ultrasound?.....That's sonar!.....I'm a former submarine sailor so I'm pretty good at reading sonar charts.....Does that critter have a kickstand or is it a split-tail?.... LMAO

If you want to induce labor, then put her in the round pen and lunge her left/right till her water breaks.

Seriously, I'm proud for you. :hug: ..and i hope sincerely she and the baby will be ok.

Haha, don't know if it's a kickstand or split-tail yet, they wanted to have it be a surprise, and I'm glad they did. (but.... I think it's a boy) But maybe, maybe not. No worries, I'll be on here posting, if I have to run to the nurses station and say "Let me borrow your internet".

She's already piosed that her mom wont let her ride her horse. (which is still being kept at her mom's... ) Not the best thing for a pregnant lady, that's for sure.

My instincts tell me a new 38 year old grandmother needs something that reminds her she is still attractive....and at the same times rewards her for her beautiful grandbaby.

I suddenly have the urge to tell you how special you and your family are to everyone.....I hate just let such inspiration die.....I want credit for not only the bad things i say or do.....I want others to know the brite side of my heart before it's gone completely.

Celebrate what? The baby coming?

I hadn't thought of that. Hmmmm...... certainly not in my usual celebration style of "alcohol & karaoke".  :no:

I dunno, hadn't thought about "celebrating". I guess, just having the little guy here, safe and sound, will be all we will need. My door will most likely be a revolving one, with all the many many relatives I have coming by, atleast for a few weeks. We've already built a nursery addition on to the house, and had the baby showers.... I dunno. (*stump* me for an answer why don't ya?) hahaha.....

Gotta go now, you all have a great evening, maybe I'll have some more news tomorrow- maybe not. It's in the little guy's hands I guess.  :D  :wave:
