Micbob, sshhhh.....don't ever tell anybody it was an $800 mike, they will want to kill you.   Take it from me.         Telll them it's $50.   They will love you forever.    

It looks like a fine mike to be throwing across the bar.          You will have to test the balance of it, like one of those knifes the circus guys throw.    

Thanks Lonman, What mic would you recommend. I use it for big contest events that we hold every two months. The wireless mic I only handout to singers I know or during the contest. I do want something that will produce a quality sound. Thanks for help

If you want to be sure it will work without drop outs or dead spots, you need to have a two channel receiver.    I believe its call diversity.    The one antenna is a single channel receiver.     Two antennas and it can instantaneously switch to the other channel to eliminate the dead spot thing.

This is the one I use - like you, for big contests only, not for regular singing.  It sounds great, true diversity & won't break the bank.

hey that mike looks familiar. I just got a dual mike hisonic unit that except for the hisonic name the mikes themselves look excatly like your sure mike. The receiver looks different though.
