I use Sax and Dotty's and they use a .zip format.  MP3+G Toolz will help you convert from one format to another.

I would prefer the mp3+g format for your application. Too many times have I found that you have incompatibilities between whatever you zipped your files with, and the version of winzip. Example, winzip is not upwards compatible. Version 9 unzips version 8 files, but not the other way around. Also, mp3+g format is the same size as the zip file. Downfall, 2 files for every song instead of 1.

Most universal I would say would be MP3+G zipped or not.

One thing you should consider if you haven't already is the naming sequence of your files.  Just in case you have a KJ program that needs to see the files a certain way. ARTIST-TITLE -DISC  or whatever .
